Starbucks Iced Lemon Pound Cake (CAKE!)

For those of you who love the lemon loaf from Starbucks seen above, I've made a duplicate! Only instead of using a bread pan (partially because I didn't have one) and partially because if you love lemon(lemon loaf) then you'd want bigger slices anyway, I made it into a cake!

Preheat oven to 350. Spray/grease your cake pan and flour it.

  • 1 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 eggs(these can be substitued)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tblsp softened butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup of lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup of oil
  • zest of one lemon

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tblsp milk (or water)
  • 1/2 tsp lemon extract
In a large bowl combine salt, baking powder, baking soda, flour

In another bowl combine eggs, sugar, butter, vanilla extract, lemon extract, lemon juice, mix until blended.

Mix both bowls together, add oil and lemon zest

Pour into your cake pan and bake in the oven for about 50 minutes(or until a toothpick comes out clean)

Wisk your glaze ingredients together. Take the cake out the oven and drizzle glaze evenly. Let cool.
